This software is intense. Truthfully I don't 100% know how it does what it does. Fortunately, all we need to know is that it is essentially the key that gives us access to the server. I keep the server locked down super tight, so without tailscale there is no way to run any of the new features I've added.
If you are struggling accessing things, it is likely because you dont have tailscale turned on.
Getting the key installed on your device is easy. Download the key on your phone using the link below or by searching "Tailscale" in your app store.
Once downloaded obviously open the app. When it asks you to login or register use this login below clickling the MICROSOFT button and putting in the credentials below. DO NOT CREATE YOUR OWN ACCOUNT. If you create your own account I can't add your device. So save your time and just login with my credentials. It may want you to use pins and passcodes etc, but if you look you will see log in with password as an option.

Once you log in, you will need to connect your device to my network. DO NOT SELECT GUNDYFLIX@OUTLOOK.COM. After, text me (Beau) and let me know that you have installed tailscale and "need device approval".
I can then register your device on my end to allow your phone to access my server and its services. Until I text you back saying your device was approved you won't be able to access anything. Just be patient :). Once I approve your device you will see your digital key up in the taskbar on your phone. Example below.
As a reminder, if you are ever trying to access overseer, audiobookshelf, or games and you are not able to get the page to load, check and make sure your key is in your taskbar. If you dont have your key active the website will completely fail to load. If your key is missing just open up the tailscale app and it will active your key automatically.
